Megs and I have known each other since middle school, we go way back. When I was home in Minnesota a few weeks ago and she asked if I’d meet up to do a Mom and Baby shoot with her and her adorable little one, I couldn’t resist! I’ve been dying to take pictures of this little guy since he was born!
The weather was a little iffy when we started, so we headed out to the Minnesota Zoo to make sure we had some indoor options in case the rain decided to hit. Although it was warm, it turned into a beautiful morning!
Meg, it was so much fun to hang out and see little Jacob! You guys are the cutest!
Not going to lie… Megs has WAY more gorgeous shoes then I ever will. Jealous.
So much cuteness coming from these two soon!
Today is the first official day that LGBT couples across the state of NY can officially legally be wed. My husband and I watched the vote on a live internet stream as it happened and I couldn’t be more excited about another state passing marriage equality!
In celebration of all the awesome-ness, I’ve decided to offer up a discount to any LGBT couples who are in need of a photographer for their big day. For any LGBT couple who books before Sept 1st and mentions this post, I’m offering 15% off my regular wedding packages! Your event can be any time in 2011 or 2012.
Hurray for LOVE!
Darlene and Eric had a beautiful summer wedding in the Bronx. Their ceremony was in a little chapel at SUNY Maritime, a great campus overlooking the water that I didn’t even know existed! From there we headed to the always awesome (and delicious!) Tosca Marquee where they had a rocking salsa dancing reception.
A huge shout-out to my second photographer Lindsay, many thanks for being amazingly awesome!
I started the day at Darlene’s apartment for the girls getting ready.

Holy moly, isn’t she gorgeous??

So much natural light in this apartment=LOVE.

This little guy seriously stole the show the whole day!
Meanwhile, Eric got ready at his mother’s.

Eric gave his mom a beautiful bible as a gift.

Off to the ceremony…

Lindsay’s view, I love this image.
We had lots of time for portraits at SUNY Maritime, which was great!
Their reception at Tosca was a great time and filled with awesome dancing! But perhaps the highlight was their little nephew joining up with the band!
Darlene and Eric, thanks so much for having me! Have a fabulous honeymoon!!
